Former Eduprize basketball coach Phil Lowe hopes to educate with new book

After Phil Lowe led Gilbert Eduprize to a Canyon Athletic Association boys basketball championship, he took a year off.

Then COVID-19 hit.

He came out of it with a book series, called, “Truth Be Told,” which, he says, is a survival guide for middle school and high school players and their families on the things to consider and the questions to ask during their basketball journeys because “it won’t be told to you.”

He said the official book release is Aug. 30 but the first three chapters are on sale at Lowesports.org.

The book has more than 20 Division I college coaches at 20 different universities providing input. It also contains some of the top high school athletes’ parents discussing their experiences during the recruiting process.
